MOLLY NOLAN

Is a Montauk native that grew up playing tennis at the Montauk Downs. She first picked up a racquet when she was 8 and started working behind the desk at the Downs when she was 13. By 17 she was on the court teaching and helping to manage. She played 5 years of varsity tennis for East Hampton, and went on to play 3 semesters of D3 College Tennis for Skidmore. From there, she transferred to Cornell to earn a Bachelor’s in Nutrition followed by a Master’s in Nutrition from NYU. In 2017, she started co-operating the Downs and then ran it solo from 2019-2021. She sadly lost her lease at the Downs in 2022, but fortunately things fell into place just up the road at Hither Hills Racquet Club. She has ran Hither since 2022 and is excited for season 4! She also won back the Downs in 2024 and is looking forward to another season on her home courts, alongside some action at Montauk Yacht Club.


STEFAN ILIC

We are so happy to have this wonderful face returning for his FIFTH season!! Stefan was born and raised in NYC where he excelled at the junior level, reaching a high of #13 in the East and top 200 in the nation. Stefan played D1 tennis at Stony Brook University for a year, and earned a BA in Philosophy. For the last 10 years he has been working as a tennis coach all over The New York area, gaining heaps of experience.

Whether you want a good sweat, some technical feedback, or are trying to perfect your one handed backhand…Stefan is your guy!! It doesn’t take long to see that he’s got that effortless finesse and athleticism…he’s one of those extra pretty players!


BOLOR ENKHBAYAR

We are beyond excited to have this gem back for season SIX. This lovely Brit with Mongolian roots finished her MBA in Brooklyn, while assistant coaching the men and women’s tennis teams. During her college career, Bolor played at the top of the singles and doubles line up, earning All American Honorable Mention her sophomore year. If you’ve been on court with Bolor, you know you can expect heaps of smiles, good energy, a solid sweat, game improvement, and some wonderful tunes!!


LUIZ TEPEDINO

Meet Luiz! We are so excited to welcome this seasoned Brazilian back for his SECOND season with us. He will be here start to end, and given his 10+ years of teaching he is ready to make impact on your games! Luiz first picked up a racquet when he was 9 years old. He reached #1 ranking for Rio De Janeiro in 2004 & 2006, and his top ranking for all of Brazil was #17. He earned a BS in Journalism back in Brazil and has spent time teaching at several academy’s in the US. If you got the pleasure of playing with Luiz last season, you know he is an absolute sweetheart and the king of positive reinforcement!!


ANAIS GABRIEL

We are thrilled to have Anais back for her THIRD season. This quad-lingual, high energy gal from Switzerland started playing tennis at the age of 6. As a teen, she won Swiss & European championships and reaching a rank of 36 in Switzerland. During her college career at Stetson (BS in Spanish), she won several accolades - NAIA All-American, ASUN All Conference, and ASUN Honor Roll. Anais has ben coaching all ages since she was 15. It doesn’t take long to get hooked on Anais’s teaching style…or to be amazing watching her spar with another pro…she has got serious game and is currently training hard to compete at the professional level. That being said she won’t be with us the entire summer, but nearly all of it! Be sure to get your slots before her schedule fills up!


GARRETT MALAVE

A true crowd favorite is back for the SIXTH year in a row - it’s going to be a short stint, but something is better than nothing! Garrett Is a native to the North Fork of Long Island. He started playing USTA tournaments at age 8 and locked in the #1 singles spot on Mattituck’s Varsity tennis team as a 7th grader. He held that coveted spot the next 6 years, after which he played 5 years of D3 tennis at #33 Salisbury University. He graduated May 2021 with a BS in Biology & Chemistry Minor. Garrett is currently in dental school so he will be spending some of this summer break teaching with us :) get him while you can!!


DAREEN HASSAN

We are so happy to have back Dareen for her SECOND season with us. She grew up in Egypt and learned to play tennis at age 8. She was among the top ranked in Egypt during her teenage years, competing in the African Championships and the qualifiers for the Junior Tennis World Cup as a member of the Egyptian national team. She has just wrapped up her college degree in Marketing here in the US at Nicholls State University where she excelled on the tennis team as well. If you didn’t learn in some of the Pro-Ams last year, Dareen is feisty and ready to win. She works hard and is not afraid to push patrons on court!


SAMY BAJRACHARYA

We are so excited to welcome back the extra smiley Samy for his SECOND season! He is coming all the way from Nepal where he first started playing tennis at the age of 3. You won’t ever see him without a smile on his face. As a teen, Samy participated in the World Junior Championships and earned the Bronze Medal in the South Asian Games in 2019. He just wrapped up his Senior year at Middle Georgia State University where he pursued a degree in Marketing. During his college career he has earned academic honors and placed 4th in NJCAA. We are so lucky to know this face will be smiling back at us on court all summer long.


JENNA SVATOS

We are so excited to welcome this Australian for her first season with us. Jenna started playing tennis at the age of 5. She played competitively in Australia, winning two money tournaments and represented New South Wales in National tournaments. She has coached varying levels back home in Australia for four years and is currently studying Health Sciences & Sports Marketing at Long Island University, while competing on the tennis team. Jenna is pysched to be on court with everyone this summer!!


MATTHEW GRISCTI

We are happy to have this new face this season joining us all the way from Malta. Matthew started playing tennis when he was 7 years old, excelling as a junior there reaching top ranking in Malta. He was a member of the Malta Davis Cup Team, amongst other honors. He has joined us here in the states for University, where he is pursuing a double major in Finance and Business Analytics while competing on the tennis team. We are so happy to have him coaching with us this summer!


LAURA MATHEWS

Meet Laura! We are excited to welcome this Irish gal for her first season with us. Laura currently plays at Trinity College in Dublin. She has experience coaching players ranging from beginner to intermediate, and has also spent a lot of time teaching the little ones. She is excited to travel across the pond to Montauk this summer, and will be working part time at the club alongside a restaurant job in the evening.


GWEN GRAY

So happy to have Gwen back with us for another season! Many have the privilege of watching this youngin’ grow up on court. If you haven’t, just know she packs a punch! Gwen has been helping on court with the juniors the last few summers. She’s just 17, but knows a whole lot about the game. This season, expect to find her on and off the court for before she heads off for her freshman year at Vassar where she was recruited to play!
